Quick Chicken Recipes for Kids

1. Chicken with Tortilla Chips


  • 450 gm chicken breast
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Oil
  • 2 cups crushed tortilla chips
  • Salt to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Sprinkle salt and pepper on chicken.
  3. Take flour in a bowl and add oregano and chili powder. Mix well.
  4. Beat eggs in a bowl with garlic.
  5. Place a wire rack coated with oil in a 15- x 10-inch jelly-roll pan.
  6. Coat chicken with flour mixture and then dip in egg mixture. Finally coat with crushed tortilla chips.
  7. Coat the pieces with oil and place on wire rack.
  8. Arrange all the pieces and bake for 20 minutes.

Serve the golden chicken to your kid.

2. Crunchy Chicken Bites


  • 1 cup corn flakes
  • 1 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 650 gm chicken breast tenders, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce


  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F
  2. Crush corn flakes, add in bread crumbs, sugar, salt and allspice.
  3. Sprinkle 3 tbsp. oil on it and mix well.
  4. Coat the chicken with flour then egg and finally in corn flour mixture.
  5. Place the pieces on a baking sheet. Bake them for 15 minutes.
  6. Mix mustard with barbecue sauce and serve chicken with it.

3. Chicken Balls


  • 600 gm chicken, minced
  • ½ cup cornflake crumbs
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 onion
  • salt to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  3. Finely chop the onion and mix them with chicken, cornflakes, cheese, salt and egg.
  4. Mix well and make small balls with the mixture.
  5. Arrange the balls on baking tray and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Serve with tomato ketchup.

4. Chicken with Potatoes


  1. 900 gm small potatoes, quartered
  2. 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  3. 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  4. Salt and pepper powder
  5. 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  6. 2 tablespoons sugar
  7. Juice of 1/2 lemon
  8. 4 chicken breasts
  9. 2 tbsp. cilantro, chopped


  1. Preheat the oven at 425 degree F.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, potatoes, salt and pepper.
  3. Bake the potatoes for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat olive oil in a pan. Saute garlic in it. Remove from heat and add in sugar, lemon juice and pepper.
  5. Arrange chicken on the baking dish and sprinkle salt and garlic mixture on it. Do not remove potatoes from dish.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes.

Slice chicken and serve with potatoes after garnishing with cilantro.

5. Chicken Fried Rice


  • 100 gm Boneless chicken, cut into thin strips
  • 1 cup Rice, soaked
  • 4 tbsp. Oil
  • 2 Spring onions, finely chopped
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 1/4 tbsp. MSG
  • 1/2 tsp. White pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Vinegar


  1. Cook rice with 3 cups of water.
  2. Heat oil in a deep pan and saute onion and garlic in it.
  3. Add chicken pieces and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Add eggs and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Add in rice and salt. Stir for 2 minutes.
  6. Add soy sauce, pepper powder and mix well. Finally add vinegar.

Serve to your kid.
